IMPORTANT DATES:

Tuesday, October 20th – PTA Meeting (Proposed Budget Amendments) 6:30 – 7:30
October 28th – SPS Two Hour Early Dismissal – School is dismissed at 12:50
October 29th – State of John Rogers Meeting – 6:30 – 7:30
October 30th – Move-A- Thon 12:00 – 2:30
November 11th – Veterans Day – No School

Move-a-Thon

Our awesome Otters have a BIG fundraising goal this year, $18,500.  That is a big number but with your help, our kids can exceed it! Please be sure to focus your fundraising efforts on family, friends, neighbors, parents’ co-workers, and businesses.  We are not having a fundraising auction this year so we really need to dig deep and increase our fundraising/donation efforts for Move-a-Thon.

Parents – do you have a connection to a sporty or active business?  We’ll gladly accept additional prize donations for the kids.  Anything that gets the kids active and moving is a perfect donation.

Additional information packets, tax receipts, and sponsor sheets are available at school or upon request.

John Rogers Elementary Volunteer Applications

Please remember to return your volunteer application along with a copy of your identification (driver’s license).

All volunteers in Seattle Public Schools much complete the volunteer application process before volunteering. Volunteer applications are available in the office or can be downloaded at http://seattleschools.org. John Rogers’ school administrator is Ms. Keene.

PTA Membership Drive

Please help us meet our goal of 180 members this year!

The strength of our PTA lies in its membership – the parents, teachers, school administrators, business leaders and community members who devote themselves to making a positive difference in the lives of children.

Return your membership application and $12 dues (scholarships available) before November 3rd and attend either the 10/20 or 11/17 General PTA Meeting to have your name added.
