April 18 – Family Dance! We are excited to host our first ever all Family School Dance on April 18, from 6-7:30. We definitely need help from volunteers to make this party happen. April 22 – School Community Meeting – Did you know that John Rogers Elementary is scheduled to be rebuilt? Come learn about the timeline for this project on Monday, April 22 at 6:30pm in the cafeteria. Richard Best, Director of Capital Projects for Seattle Public Schools will be leading this meeting.

April 30 – JRE YEARBOOK ORDER FORMS/PAYMENT DUE! Yearbook order forms will go home via kidmail this week! Please complete your form and return it to the school with payment by Tuesday, April 30th. May 3 – STEAM night is Friday, May 3 (6-7:30 pm). There will be outsider presenters, hands-on activities, and student projects and artwork on display, all to increase students’ exposure to Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math. Look for information about student projects this week in kidmail. We are also looking for members of our community to present. If you have experience in any of these fields, please considering being a part of this exciting event (email Tess teresaaman@gmail.com).
May 7 – National Teacher Appreciation Day
May 17 and 18 – Willy Wonka Performances – Come and see our first ever production of Willy Wonka JR! It will be performed on May 17th and 18th at 6pm. Tickets are free. There will be a bake sale with drinks during intermission, proceeds will go towards next year’s 5th grade camp.
