Why Join?

Membership in John Rogers PTA is about CONNECTING with and SUPPORTING our school community. This year we need each other more than ever. Distance learning does not mean a distant community, and we are ALL in this together! John Rogers PTA works to ENRICH education by providing tools and support to create a school environment where teachers and administrators can do their best work, and our students can do their best learning. PTA membership is also about being a part of an organization that ensures our collective voices are heard to ADVOCATE for our children’s interests, health, welfare, safety, and education on a local, state, and national level.

2020-2021 General Meeting Information

Everyone is welcome to attend! These meetings are a chance to hear about what’s happening in our school community. We hope you’ll join us!

All meetings will be held via Zoom until it is safe to meet in person again.

 DATES:  Meetings are from 7:00-8:00 PM

September 22
October 20 (short budget amendment meeting)
November 17
January 19
March 16
May 25
June 15

*Months without a scheduled general membership meeting will have a PTA sponsored event or speaker.

 WHERE:

All meetings will be held via Zoom until it is safe to meet in person again. The Meeting ID and password will be the same for each meeting.

  2. Click on “Join a Meeting”
  3. Enter our Meeting ID: 678 953 3424
  4. Enter password: password is the same for each meeting, and is emailed out in the school’s weekly newsletter

WHAT:

Our meetings are a chance to learn more about our school community and how our PTA is supporting John Rogers. John Rogers PTA is a 501(c)3 non-profit and our members decide how our PTA resources are allocated to best meet the needs of EVERY John Rogers student!

 WHO:

The whole family! Everyone is welcome to attend meetings, participate in discussion, and ask questions. You do not need to be a member to attend, but membership is required for voting, and to serve in a leadership position.

 WHY:

PTA meetings are a great way to stay informed about what is happening in our school community. As a member, you have a vote and help to guide efforts and make budgetary decisions that benefit EVERY John Rogers’ student.
