June Events:
Tuesday, June 5th – Volunteer Recognition & Staff Retirements from 6:30-7:30 p.m. in the school cafeteria; Come celebrate all the John Rogers volunteers who have put so much time, energy, and heart into our school this past year. Additionally, we are celebrating our 2017-2018 Golden Acorn recipients and retiring teachers – Terry DeLeonardis, Doug Hudson, and Karen Rugen. Treats & childcare provided!
Wednesday, June 6th – JAMS Ice Cream Social for Incoming 6th graders from 6:30-8:00pm beginning in the JAMS Auditorium.
Friday, June 8th – Instrumental & Choir Performance both a 8:20am Assembly & 6:30pm Evening Performance; Upper elementary students will demonstrate their learning & talents through this year’s culminating musical performances.
Tuesday, June 12th – Science Van: Engineering; This is an all day school whole school event of hands-on learning experiences from the Pacific Science Center.
Tuesday, June 12th – Kindergarten Family Engagement Night from 6:30-7:30pm; Share your thoughts, ideas, questions, etc. you may have. Get connected with other great families in our school community.
Wednesday, June 20th – Field Day; Save the Date! This all-day annual event will require many volunteers, so be on the look out for sign up opportunities and more information!
Friday, June 22nd – 5th Grade Promotion Ceremony 8:30-10:30am; This event begins with an all-school assembly/ceremony to recognize our 5th graders as they transition on to middle school next year. Reception for 5th grade families to follow in the gym.
*5th grade families should have received paper communication and separate emails with initial planning details. Please be on the look out for additional communication about this event!
Friday, June 22nd – Last Day of School!!!! 1 hour EARLY RELEASE
