VOLUNTEERS! This is a great time to get your volunteer applications in! Visit https://www.seattleschools.org/families_communities/volunteer for more information, instructions, & to fill out your Volunteer Application. Approved applications are good for 2 years. You must be an approved volunteer even during virtual visits to the classroom (Art Docent, etc.) You will also be ready to volunteer in your child’s classroom when we are back in the building. DRIVE-THRU FALL FESTIVAL FUN! Friday, 10/30 from 5 – 7pm. The PTA is excited to host our Fall Festival while staying safe and socially distanced! Families are encouraged to drive or walk thru. What can our family expect? As you arrive at John Rogers, please use the right lane for stopping. Please stay in your car. You may roll down your windows so your child can participate in curbside games. Please do not get out of your vehicle.
Can I dress up? Absolutely! It’s completely optional.
Will there be games? You bet. We’ll have a few simple games you can play while staying inside your car or at a safe distance if walking.
We’re walking, where do we go? To keep the cars moving and socially distant, we will have a separate area for walkers. Please look for that area when you arrive!

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR THE JOHN ROGERS ART DOCENT PROGRAM! Help bring art to our Otters this year by visiting a class virtually once a month to lead an art project with students. VOLUNTEER AS A CLASSROOM RAFT CAPTAIN! The family Connections Team is seeking classroom volunteers to be Raft Captains (similar to the former room parent role). Raft Captains help communicate school, community and classroom information to families in the classroom. This helpful role can be communicated via email at a time that suits your busy schedule.
