MOVE-A-THON

This is the last week to fund raise for our Move-a-Thon.  Money and sponsor sheets are due on Thursday, October 29th. Please remember to ask family, friends, neighbors, co-workers, and businesses for sponsorship donations.  With the help of Lisa Karl, our wonderful 5th grade ambassadors have gone around to all of the classrooms giving tips on how to ask sponsors for donations and getting kids fired up about the prizes they could win.  I know several kids have their eyes on the Golden Sneaker prize package. Our awesome PE Teacher, Mrs. Blumhagen, has been getting the kids fired up about fitness and the kids have been training for the Move-a-Thon by running and walking laps of the lower field.

John Rogers parent, Janay Nowlin, has designed our Move-a-Thon T-shirts.  They are going to look awesome and your children are going to beam with pride wearing them around.  Our super helpful room parents have been recruiting volunteers for the event.  It has taken a village of effort to put this event together and its going to be great fun!  Please continue to help us by bringing in those donations and/or helping out the day of the event.

It sounds like we may have several classes with 100% participation. Participation includes every student turning in their sponsor sheet with donation(s) on or before Thursday, October 29th.  Yahoo!  In the event that we have multiple classes with 100 percent participation, we will have a tie breaker drawing for the class prize.  As a reminder, the class that has the highest percentage of student participation will get $100 towards a class prize or party plus an extra recess!

Arena Sports Magnusen has just added Fun Zone passes to the prize inventory!  All Students that turn in any dollar amount will be entered into the drawing.  Thank you, Candice Holsapple, for procuring the Fun Zone passes.

If you have any questions about the Move-a-Thon or are available to help at the event, please contact: Shannon Malloch shannonmmalloch@gmail.com
