November 3 – 17 – Cougar Mountain Cookie Dough and KuKuRuZa Popcorn Fundraiser November 13 – Last day to donate books for the Used Book Fair
November 18 – 20 – Scholastic and Used Book Fair
November 20 – PTA General Meeting
November 24 – 26 – Parent Teacher Conferences – No School
November 27 & 28 – Thanksgiving Holiday – No School

Family Time in John Rogers Library Thursday, November 13 from 3:00 to 6:00 PM
There will be reading, homework, math games, computer use, and staff on hand to answer other school related questions.
The John Rogers Family Engagement Action Team (FEAT) invites students and their families to access the John Rogers library during our monthly family time in the library.
This time is geared for students to use the resources in the library, along with their parent or another adult, after school. Parents will have access to the computers and staff will be on hand to help register you for The Source as well as provide information about other online resources available for students.
This event will be held monthly on the second Thursday of each month. If your family would like to attend but transportation is a problem, please contact Andrea Bergan at thebergans@comcast.net or (206) 817-1340.   Transportation assistance is available.

Coin Drive for UNICEF
The John Rogers Coin Drive for UNICEF has concluded and our families rose over $901.47.

2014 John Rogers Scholastic and Used Book Fair
The 2014 John Rogers Scholastic and Used Book Fair will take place November 18-20. Scholastic Books will be available for sale on the lunchroom stage and a Used Book Sale will take place concurrently in the hallway outside the library before, during and after school on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
Thursday evening there will be a Family Event-Kid’s PJ Night from 6-7 pm in the cafeteria with games, crafts, story time, and snacks before the PTA Meeting, childcare in the gym during the PTA Meeting (7-7:30 pm), then Book Fair shopping after the meeting until 8 pm.

Complete details and a Book fair Booklist will be sent home with kids Monday afternoon. Got books…  If you have any used books that would be appropriate for the sale, please drop them off at school prior to Friday, November 14th.
