First day of school – Help wanted!

First day of school is Wednesday, September 3rd – We need your help!

For many of you it’s a first day of school tradition…drop the kids off and make your way to the John Rogers Cafeteria to help assemble Back to School Packets! The more people that help, the quicker it goes.
If you are new to John Rogers or have never been able to help before…please stop by!

September 3rd – The First Day of School
            8:40 – 9:30 am (It could even be faster if YOU help.)
Where: John Rogers Elementary Cafeteria
What: Work together to assemble Back to School Packets
           (The important paperwork that goes home with every JR child)

BONUS…Breakfast Treats and Coffee Chat with our principal, Mrs. Mirabueno!

You have the opportunity to show you care about education. There is no time commitment required when you join the PTA – by simply joining, you send a message that you value education and you help ensure our voices are heard collectively to represent our children’s’ interests on a city, state and national level. John Rogers is built on a strong foundation of volunteer support and dedication. Please consider joining the PTA and help us advocate for the interests of all children and their education.

 John Rogers PTA Meetings will be held every other month this year beginning with our first meeting on Tuesday, September 17th at 7:00 PM. Free childcare is provided. You are not required to be a member of the PTA to attend our meetings – they are open to all! Come learn more about what is happening in our school community including a report from our principal, Sara Mirabueno. If transportation to our meetings is an issue, please contact Andrea Bergan at – we may be able to help.
